Vicky Robinson, founder of Refine Counseling, is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the great state of Oklahoma. Vicky holds a Master of Science degree with additional course work in alcohol and drug addiction, co-dependency, trauma, and play therapy. Her specialized training by Patrick Carnes, PhD has awarded her with national certification of Certified Sex Addiction Therapist by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Vicky is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) by The EMDR Institute developed by Francine Shaprio as a Level II clinician to aid in treatment of trauma. She has also been trained with John and Elaine Leadem as a Certified Raising the Bottoms Interventionist.
Vicky is a person of long-term recovery who has been working in the field of addiction since 2005. Her expertise includes modalities raging from 12 Step recovery, residential and out-patient treatment to intensive psycho-therapy for recovering individuals, couples, and families.
Vicky’s personal life journey was threatened by addiction, yet she and her family celebrate approximately 235 years of recovery. She and her husband, Chuck, share a passion to aid families struggling with life’s hurts, habit, and hang-ups. Together they speak and educate their community, state, and nation about addictions, through various venues and ministries. Vicky’s mission is to share the same freedom and hope she and her family have experienced by transforming minds and changing lives.
Charles W. Robinson, III
M.A., LADC-MH, CSAT
Chuck Robinson, a native of Oklahoma City, graduated with a Business Management degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1988, and a Masters of Arts in Substance Abuse Studies in 2012. Chuck is also a licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Licensed Minister and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. While attending Henderson Hills Baptist Church, located in Edmond, Oklahoma, he served on staff at the Ministries of Jesus for eight (8) years as the first pastor of recovery and director of recovery overseeing the Celebrate Recovery program.
Robinson currently works with Elements Behavioral Health, serving as the National Director of Christian Programing and Outreach, taking what has successfully been accomplished locally to the national level.
Desiring to share his life’s work and experiences, Chuck wrote his first book, published in 2016, called ‘Loving the Addict in Your Pew, a roadmap for building a church-based recovery ministry.’
Chuck is a person of long term recovery making him uniquely qualified to help those struggling with addiction issues seeking long-term solutions. Because of his dedication to sobriety, Chuck is still faithful to attend recovery meetings no matter what city or state he may visit. Chuck and his wife Vicky celebrate over 35 years of marriage and are active volunteers in their church and community. Having achieved long-term recovery, they enjoy life to the fullest with their four married sons and eight, beautiful grandchildren.
Certified Life Coach, Intervention Specialist, Men’s Christian Mentor
As a Certified Life Coach, and Intervention Specialist, Joe leads by example as he encourages, counsels and mentors men under his care.
As a former meth addict, facing a potential 35-year sentence, Joe conquered his addiction with the help and accountability of the Jim Riley Men’s Mentoring Program where he has served as Director of Men’s Mentoring for the past 15 years.
His down to earth, laid-back, and approachable demeanor makes Joe someone who is easy to communicate with, listen to and learn from.

Drug and Alcohol Counselor Intern
Michele Abbott is an intern at Refine Counseling in the process of fulfilling her credentialing hours as she pursues her master’s degree. Michele has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Liberty University with a primary focus on Addiction Recovery and secondary studies in Christian Counseling.
Growing up in a home plagued by alcoholism, abuse, and family dysfunction, Michele was caught up in the cycle of generational addiction that is so prevalent in today’s society. She began her recovery journey in 2011 and has since dedicated her life to helping individuals and families take a stand against addiction.
Michele’s passion is driven by the desire to utilize her professional and personal experience to bring freedom and transformation to those seeking long-term solutions. She celebrates sustained recovery by enjoying life with her husband of 16 years and their three children.
Executive Administrator, Office Manager and Certified Women's Life Coach
Kathy has worked alongside Chuck and Vicky Robinson as their administrative assistant in the recovery field for over five years. Being personally and professionally familiar with the negative effects of substance abuse, addiction, and codependency on the family, Kathy is passionate about helping people get their life back on track.
Kathy earned her Master of Ministry degree, with an emphasis in Bible, at Mid America Christian University where she currently teaches courses on Judeo-Christian Ethics, Women in Ministry, Paul the Apostle and The Life of Jesus.
Putting her twenty-five years of mentoring women to good use, Kathy also serves Refine Counseling as a Certified Women's Life Coach. Coaching from a Christ-centered perspective, Kathy helps women discover their unique God-given identity, passion, and purpose. Whether it's an old habit or a new dream, having a life coach provides the tools, insight, and strategies needed to move your life forward.
