Vicky Robinson

Vicky Robinson, founder of Refine Counseling, is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the great state of Oklahoma. Vicky holds a Master of Science degree with additional course work in alcohol and drug addiction, co-dependency, trauma, and play therapy.  Her specialized training by Patrick Carnes, PhD has awarded her with national certification of Certified Sex Addiction Therapist by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Vicky is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) by The EMDR Institute developed by Francine Shapiro as a Level II clinician to aid in treatment of trauma. She has been trained with John and Elaine Leadem as a Certified Raising the Bottoms Interventionist. 

Vicky is a person of long-term recovery who has been working in the field of addiction since 2005. Her expertise includes modalities ranging from 12 Step recovery, residential and out-patient treatment to intensive psycho-therapy for recovering individuals, couples, and families. 

Vicky’s personal life journey was threatened by addiction, yet she and her family celebrate approximately 235 years of recovery.  She and her husband, Chuck, share a passion to aid families struggling with life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Together they speak and educate their community, state, and nation about addictions, through various venues and ministries. Vicky’s mission is to share the same freedom and hope she and her family have experienced by transforming minds and changing lives.

Chuck Robinson grew up in Oklahoma City, attending the University of Central Oklahoma, where he graduated with a Business Management degree in 1988 and a Masters of Arts in Substance Abuse Studies in 2012. Robinson is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Licensed Minister, and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. Today, he and his wife, Vicky, own Refine Counseling, LLC. He has written a book, published in 2016, called Loving the Addict in Your Pew, a roadmap for building a church-based recovery ministry.’ Chuck and Vicky have four sons, Chad, Colby, Conner, and Teyon, and eleven a dozen beautiful grandchildren.  Chuck is currently pursuing a doctorate in education, community care, and counseling with a specific focus on traumatology

Chris supports people who are dealing with addictions, relationships challenges and other issues. He specializes in helping clients heal from intimacy disorders—a solution-oriented term for sex addiction. Chris is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and received his Master’s in Addictions Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. Chris received his bachelor’s from Otterbein College in Ohio. He has worked in a residential treatment center and three other mental health clinics other than Refine Counseling, LLC. His approach goes beyond talk therapy. He also helps clients work through trauma and connect with their true selves. Chris and his wife Linda live in Surrey Hills, and they have four children and four grandchildren between them. Chris is involved in personal recovery, and he an avid basketball player.

Dara supports individuals, spouses, and families navigating mental health challenges as well as behavioral and substance addictions. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor Candidate and a Certified School Counselor. Dara works with children, teens, and adults, offering a compassionate and understanding approach to each client’s journey.

Dara’s professional experience includes working in schools and a residential treatment center, as well as her current work at Refine Counseling. Her personal journey has been deeply impacted by partner betrayal, fueling her passion to help others find the hope and healing she has discovered.

Dara believes every client is unique, with their own strengths, worldview, and experiences that shape their story. She sees each individual as more than the obstacles they face and is dedicated to guiding them toward a fulfilling life, helping them realize they hold the power to choose their path forward.

He has written a book, published in 2016, called ‘Loving the Addict in Your Pew, a roadmap for building a church-based recovery ministry.’ In April of 2021, the Robinsons celebrated thirty-eight (38) years of marriage. Chuck and Vicky have four sons, Chad, Colby, Conner, and Teyon, and six, beautiful grandchildren.

A Unique Evidence Based, Needs Based, Team Approach to Professional Counseling

Refine Counseling in Edmond, Oklahoma is a group of mental health counselors working together to provide compassionate, evidence based, professional counseling services for those 18 years and older. Services include individual counseling, couples and marriage counseling, interventions, treatment referrals and family therapy.  ​

We at Refine Counseling help individuals, couples and families improve their lives, meet their goals and build healthier relationships through a unique evidence based, needs based, team approach to professional counseling.

Our method of counseling is based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and other modalities.

Do you take insurance?

Currently, REFINE COUNSELING does not accept insurance. Claims for insurance reimbursement are the sole responsibility of the client, however, we will provide you with the necessary documentation on request.

Payment is expected at the time of your session. We recommend contacting your insurance company to ensure they will reimburse for services provided by Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
